The earliest evidence of Chinese writing was found on Shang oracle bones (animal bones or turtle shells). Which were written with a stylus or painted with a paint brush and rink. The earliest known Chinese poems known are in the Shijing with is an anthology of 305 poems. -

Confucius teaches about Confucianism, teachings of Tao Te Ching developed, The Shih Ching compiled
Confucius tought about values like honesty, loyalty, and respect for elders. His disciples later later recorded the teaching in the Analect. Taoism was based off of following the universal force underlying all of life. The Shih Ching or the Book of Odes was the first anthology of Chinese poetry to be complied. -

Written by Chuang Tzu the book is a collection of tales, jokes, stories and the teachings of Master Chuang. Records of the Historian was written by Ssu-ma which is a history of China through Wu Ti's reign. -

Pan Ku is credited with writing the History of the Former Han Dynasty, which documented the rule of the first couple Han emperors. The Erya or Erh-ya is a compilation of glosses to classical texts which is organized into 19 semantic categories. It also covers about 4,300 words. -
