Sam is born in Charlestown, Massachusetts, Phillips Academy was where he attended school. He was a very talented artist in his young years and turned out to be a art profressor. He died in April 2,1872. -
Factory System
Samuel Slater was the first man to bring the factory industry to America. He had remebered all the design and equipment and left to New York to share and start buisness in America. The factory system impacted America in a big way, because this was the start of everything becoming faster, quicker, manufactoring different products.The most important reason for the need for factories was that it made production faster for everyone and then this tied into the steamboat which was the distrubitor. -
Cotton Gin
Whitney had designed and constructed the cotton gin, a machine that automated the separation of cottonseed.The purpose for the cotton gin to make life easier with seperating cotton, so you can produce more cotton. The cotton gin could seperate 50 pounds of clean seperated cotton daily.The cotton gin impacted America because there was less work and time invovled to seperate the cotton, so they expense was less and was being able to be purchased by a lot more people. -
Steamboat
In 1803 Fulton built the first steamboat , but failed because the engine was too heavy. Later that same year he launched his revised his invention and it worked.This invention impacted America by putting the process of transport (export) goods around the world, The purpose of the steamboat was to speed up the process of sales for these products. -
John Deere
John Deere was born in Rutland,Vermont. He was the inventor, founder, and president of John Deere Co. His invention has been the only one with the same name since then to now. He died in 1886. -
Steel Plow
J.Deere the founder of this product made the first the steel plow in 1837. The purpose for this production was to make farmers life easier for harvesting. The steel plow would cut through the weeds and then you would be able to spread your seeds on top of the soil. The impact in America was that this made farming expand Southward because now they had a strong enough cutter with their soil. -
Telegraph and Morse Code
Samuel Morse had the telegraph and morse code worked out with the help of Alfred Vail on May 24,1844. Sending one of the famous messages saying,"What hath God wrought [made]!" His purpose of making this invention was because his wife had died while he was on gone and didn't find out until a week later, after all her memorial ceremony.The impact to America was that this device was able to have notification of what is going on around the world in a faster and more productive way.
