James Watt was an inventor and instrument maker. He contributed to the Industrial Revolution by developing the Steam Engine. His interests of steam engines started in 1763 because he was asked to repair a Newcomen model engine. -

The Spinning Jenny was an early device used to spin wool or cotton. It allowed more yarn and thread to be produced with fewer spinners. It was invented by James Hargreaves. -
Robert Owen
Robert Owen was one who saw the growth of factories and workers in the industrial revolution, he wanted to enact on the labor reforms. He wanted to improve the child labor laws, and improve worker's rights. -
Karl Marx
Karl Marx influenced many of the revolutionary industrial workers throughout Europe. He also helped push the international labor movement. -
Cotton Gin
The Cotton Gin was developed by Eli Whitney in the industrial revolution. It could efficiently separate seeds from the fibers of cotton, and it could produce up to 50 pounds of lint per day. -

Socialism was the idea that the state or government would decide what was produced and who would be the producer. The idea led to the fact the community would own and manage instead of individuals. -

Charles Darwin had the Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection, which impacted the industrial revolution in many of ways. People started to apply his ideas to the issues in society which led to Social Darwinism. -

Social Darwinism was the belief of the fact that the government shouldn't interfere with the survival of the fittest by assisting the poor. It promoted the idea that some races are superior to others. -

Utilitarianism opposed the idea of that a person should peruse their view at their own interest even at the expense or harm of another person, and that it regards some actions as right or wrong based on the outcome. -
Social Democracy
Social Democracy was a labor movement that followed Socialism. It helped promote the idea of replacing individual ownership with public ownership. -
Communism
Communism was alongside the works of Socialism and Social Democracy being the fact that it spread some of the idea of absence from private property and social classes. It was a reaction to the Industrial Revolution. -

The Assembly Line was a pivotal invention, it led to the start and growth of the industry of automobiles. It also opened the door for more technology. -
Airplane
Wilbur and Orville Wright demonstrated the power and capabilities of the first airplanes that sustained flight. The airplanes became important to the industrial revolution as they were central to defense and strategy in the tactics of wars. -
Automobile
The automobile was invented by people like Karl Benz and Henry Ford. After it's creation it was common across the world as it was affordable. Using the help of assembly lines made developing automobiles become easy and quick to produce.
