The National Roads were invented by President Thomas Jefferson. The national roads allowed more and easy travel to be done within the United States. -
Steamboat
The Steamboat was invented by Robert Fulton. This allowed sailors to sail smother and quicker on water to help transport goods. -
Erie Canal
The Erie Canal was made by Robert Fulton. These were built to increase water transportation. -
Mechanical Reaper
The Mechanical Reaper was built by Cyrus McCormick. Because of the mechanical reaper, farmers could harvest larger pieces of land. -
Sewing Machine
This was created by Elias Howe. The sewing machine helped turn manufactured cloth into clothing. This increased the industry for cotton and cloth. -
Steel Plow
The steel plow was invented by John Deere. Because of the steel plow, farmers could now plow larger pieces of land.
