  • Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has been around since the 1950s. AI is a machine's ability to learn and adopt intelligent human behavior. This advancement helps manufacturers collect information, perform skilled labor, and predict consumer behavior. AI also helps increase production by providing relevant data to all sides of a supply chain.
  • IoT (Internet of Things)

IoT was a term that became popular around the early 2000s. IoT has helped streamline and simplify manufacturing processes in many ways. It can provide real-time feedback, and alerts companies of defects or damaged goods. IoT also helps reduce costs and waste.
  • Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is a concept that became most popular around 2006. In manufacturing, cloud computing allows manufacturing plants to be more unified, allowing data to flow across geographic locations and helps to deliver unparalleled security, agility, accessibility and scalability.
  • Robots

Robots today are capable of mimicking human traits that include dexterity and memory, making them more useful to the manufacturing market. Robots are able to switch position with real-humans to increase safety in dangerous situations. Those equipped with sensors are also able to provide valuable feedback and data. Overall, they help to increase efficiency and minimize delay.
  • Big Data

Big data is a technology that is till becoming more and more popular today. In manufacturing, there is various amounts of data generated, but all of it may not be relevant to the organization. Analytics is very important to help drive insight, and drive higher levels of efficiency. With the use of Big Data analytics, manufacturers can keep all information in a single system, allowing them to focus on what's most important.
