Blur are a band tha formed in 1988 under the name of 'Seymour'. They are mostly fro middle-class backgrounds from the London area. -
The Stone Roses 'Spike Island'
On the 27th May 1990, The Stone Roses played one of the most iconic gigs of the century. The gig has now had a film made about it called Spike Island which was released in 2012. -
Oasis
In 1991, Noel Gallagher, a lad from Manchester formed a band called Oasis. He was later joined by his brother, Liam. They went on to form the the 'Britpop' era. -
Blur v Oasis
It wa on this date, that Blur & Oasis both released singles in a race to No. 1. It was working-class against middle-class, in which Blur (middle-class) won. -
Oasis 'Wonderwall'
In October 1995, Oasis release their most succesful single ever, which was to over-shadow anything that any other Britpop band would ever release. Wonderwall reached the top 10 in over 13 charts around the world, it was to be the most iconic song of the era. -
Oasis 'Knebworth'
On the 10th August 1996, Oasis performe at Knebwort infront of a record breaking crowd of around 165,000 people.
