The Creation of The Muslum League
A political party in Pakistan and became one of the biggest. This party supported and represented all of the rights of the Muslims who were Indians. For a good amount of time, this party worked for the Indian Muslims. -
The Lucknow Pact
This pact is an agreement between the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League to work together against the british. Doing this to take back their land and stop the horrible treatment both sides are getting. Giving the people much more power. -
Rowlatt Acts
The British had made a law stating that the government is allowed to jail any prisoners without trial for as long as two years. This appeared very unfair to the indians rebelling for independence. -
Non-Cooperation Movement
A movement that was designed by Gandhi to not cooperate with the British ruling while trying not to cause violence. There did end up being violence in the movement due to citizens misinterpreting some of gandhi's ideas. -
The Salt March
This movement was a march by the Indians led by Mohandas Gandhi where they marched to the sea. Doing this to rebel for more salt as they were heavily taxed on it. -
WW2 Breaks Out
As the british has started fighting against germany in world war 2, India is left at a stale mate and decides to gather up ll of the people they can find to prtest and fight. -
Quit India Movement
The Indians congress attempted to try and get the british to quit India once and for all. This did not work and got the entire top leadership of the congress including gandhi in jail. -
India Earns Independence
India had finnaly gained independence on Britains harsh rule. There was large amounts of violence and bloodshed for this to happen. Even shortly after India gains their independence, Gandhi was assasinated.
