1961- Essays in the Logic of Mathematical Discovery
In 1961, Imre Lakatos wrote a series of essays, marking his greatest contributions to mathematics. In this essay, he counters Euler characteristic in algebraic topology. These became a part of the book "Proofs and Refutations". The three strategies he came up with to counter these characteristics, were "monster-barring", "monster-adjustment", and "exception-handling". Those strategies became a cornerstone in qualitative physics. -

1973- Research Programmes
In 1973, Lakatos gave a public talk regarding his own theories regarding Kuhns ideas, specifically in terms of a belief in the scientific community. He even refers to it as "mob psychology. At this time he begins to get into his ideas about research programmes, in order to create some sort of structure in the scientific community.
