Stage 4: Industry vs. Inferiority
I started doing track and field when I was eight years old. My own motivation, ambition and the support of my parents drove me to good performances from a very early age. In the fourth stage of Erikson's Psychological Theory, children expand their social worlds and begin to acquire new knowledge and skills required by their culture and social environment. If a child encouraged and taught well, a sense of industry develops that includes enthusiasm for learning and confidence in mastering skills. -
Stage 5: Identity vs. Identity confusion
I getting very easy influenced when it comes to decisions. Especially after graduating from high school, I didn't know what the right path would be for me. My parents saw me in a different area than my friends, and I had no idea what I wanted for myself. The fifth stage deals with identity versus identity confusion. Adolescents must develop an awareness of who they are, what their capacities are, and what their place is within their culture. -
Stage 6: Intimacy vs. Isolation
I've been with my boyfriend for three years now. Although I decided to go to the USA, we stayed together. Last week, he came to Alaska to visit me. That must be true love.
For the sixths stage, the main developmental challenge is to establish a committed, long-term love relationship.
