    The Compromise of 1850 was important because California entered as a free state, Texas dropped it's claim to land north, and the Fugitive Slave Act was enacted.

    John Borwn acted against slavery by and he brung an small army of 21 men with his two sons and attacked Harper's Ferry. But his attack didn't go as planned, resulting in his and his men's deaths.

  • The Great Compromise

    The Great Compromise combined the Virginia plan and the New Jersey plan, which created our current legislature with one house by population and voted by the people and the other house allowing two senators per state appointed by state legislatures.
