The reason for this invasion was to take Dictator Fidel Castro out of power. He was a Communist and Kenneday wanted him out of power. But this invasion failed miserably. Because Cuba had found out about the invasion so Fidel fled and the mission was failed. -
New weapons of war
The U.S had made a new weapon called Agent Orange. This was used to kill the vegatation so they could see the enemy better. They also had napalm bombs to burn houses trees and other things. -

U.S soliders killed hundres of Vietmanese civillians. This tragic event caused anti war protest in America. People were very unhappy that the soliders did that. -
Man on the moon
JFK pledge that America would land a person on the moon. This was achevied July 26, 1969. The space program that put this together was NASA. This was such a huge step for American technology and mankind. Just like what Neil Armstrong said when he stepped on the moon "One small step for man one giant leap for mankind." There was an Anti-War protest at Kent State University. The protest got violent nd members of the National Gaurd shot four students and killed them. -

In the U.S there was a higher life expectancy also there were fewwer births. And lastlypeople started to move to the sunbelt which was down South. This happened through most of the seventys. -

There was a nucler accident at Three Mile island and the incident showed the potential dangers of nuclear energy
