Hewlett-Packard is founded in a garage in California. I chose this because it was used to make Fantasia. -

The ABC computer was created. It was basic computer ideas that was made freely to all. I was cool to see one guy do this and be so passionate about it. -

IBM created the first successful high level programing languague. If it weren't for them computers would be able to do the things they do today. -
Computer Mouse
Makes it eaiser for you to scroll and move the curser. Called the mouse because the tail came out -
ARPAnet
The first internet. We use the internet for almost everything we do now days. If is wasn't for this than our comminication wouldn't be the same. -
Floppy Disk
Floppy disk is created. Significant because it was one of the first way to put info on something then take it somewhere else and have the same info. -
Apple Lisa Computer
The first at home computer with a GUI, graphical user interface. This was the first computer that was used at home for you and not just at work. -
Microsoft Windows
The war between Apple and Microsoft begins. Because both of them wanted to be on top they started to push the technology to newer hights. This gave us the best products and we knew they would be good. -
Mosaic Web Browser
First commercial software that allowed graphic access to the internet. You wouldn't be able to make your browser custom to you. -
Yahoo Founded
Yahoo is founded by Stanford graduate students. It is just adding on to the variety of places you can go on the web and look at news, videos, and e-mail.
