    The national assembly wanted to make changes in the goverment. This was a long debate and on June 17, 1789, they voted to establish the National Assembly. To have an end on absolute monarchey and the beginning of a representative goverment.

    On August 4, 1789, noblemen created speeches declaring their love of liberty and equality. They join other members of the National Assembly to include more privileges.

    The declaration of the rights of man and citizen happened three weeks after the National Assembly. The documents started by "men are born and remain free and equal in rights." The documents guaranteed citizens equal justice, freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
