  • Gabriel Guerrara

I was born in Mexico in 1851
  • Child Hood

I am 14 now and i hate school here there is so much racism. I always been dreaming about going to america and have a better life but my mom had didnt dreams. My mom wanted to stay in Mexico and find a good job and stay home unless going to her job without getting into any trouble. My dad wanted to stay in Mexico too so i was obviously out matched.
  • My mom died

My mom and i went to the store but instead of riding the car she wanted to walk because it was a nice day outside. We made it to the store and bought what we needed and we started to leave the when we saw a man pull out a gun to shoot this other man. I dont know why he wanted to shoot him but he did he saw my mom watching this and aimed at her and shot than he ran. I didnt know what to do and i ran back inside and called 911 from their phone. About 2-3 minutes later the cops came took her.
  • Adult Life

I am 25 now and im married to a beutiful wife named Martina Guerrara and i have one son named Jose Guerrara. We were planning on moving to America to have more rights and freedom and less racism so we did move to America.
  • Moving to America

My family moved to America when i was 26 yrs old and we had to pass the Mexican border. We had to take a test that had about 100 questions on it. It took long to complete but i finally completed and we were able to go through. When we got to america we lived in my friends house because we had no where to stay. We stayed at his house until i found an apartment. Usually when i ask him if i could come over or hang out he says no but this was different he needed a friend with him.
  • Got a new home

I finally found an apartment but that apartment was whole of americans so we took a lot of racism like name calling for example they called us Mexican pigs, they made fun of our accent by trying to intimadate us. We had to make a couple of sneaks out the house because if we were seen they would with calling us names.
  • New house

I found a house that would take us away from the racism which was near a Mexican Restraunt i worked there until it closed and it closed in 1880 so i worked there for 2 yrs. I made my family good and we were living in a Mexican street like only Mexicans lived on that street no Americans at all.
  • Living conditions

I live in the street with all the Mexicans but we dont have very good living conditions. We have a cold house at winter and a hot house in summer. We have a two story building and which feels like colud tumble down any second of every day because from how everything sounds around the house.
  • My job

I got a new job and it is a good job. I have racism here and there but most of the americans there like mexicans or arent racist. The job pays me as much as the other workers. The workers are jokers they have veery good jokes i am happy having the job that i have and my family likes the job too so im going to keep it.
  • America

I love living in America now because my life is so much better specilly with this job. I have a great family, home, job, and get paid right.
  • Life is over for me

This is the last note im writing because im leaving the world forever. I just have to say I Love You Son have a life that is better than mine and dont let people get in your way of doing that kind of stuff. My last words to my son was "I Love You dont let anything get in your way." He told he would promise me that he will have an awesome life and wont let me down than he said "I love you dad farewell."
