Day to america Part 1
Today is the day. Today is when i pack my things away and move to my only hope.....America. There has been too much drama here and aslo too much poverty. My mom had lost her job for being a minute late to work but the reason why she was late because she was too busy taking care of my because of my sickness. My father has a job too but doesnt make enough to provide for the family. So it took about a month or two to save up enough money to travel to America.Now its my turn to take the pain. -
Day to America Part 2
Well it took me awhile but i had to get on my train to go to the steamship. But when i was going to get on my train my mom had tears and she couldnt stop crying and my dad cryed a bit but he didn't show it. The hardest part was leaving behind my two little precious sisters. After i said my goodbyes, then i went on my train and took about 2 or 3 hours to get to the steamship. I went on the ship and it was very crowded. So i just settled on the floor and waited for what was to come. -
Arriving in America
I finally made it here. I can see the statue of liberty. Everyone started cheering when we saw it. I even started cheering as well becasue i was so happy. Its been 2 weeks on the sea. The journey here was rough but it was all worth it. When we got on land we had to go get medicial inspection. After when i was done and cleared, I left and arrived in New York. -
American Dream
Well today is the first day on the job. About a week ago i settled into a very small house with one of my american friends. After that i went to several intreviews and finally i found one i like and got accepted for and today is the day i try it out. My job is to make ready made clothing in a factory. All i just hope of is to not get hurt and try to do a good job. -
New job
Well im about to be on my way to my 2nd day of work.Yesterday was fine. I made some new friends but i cut my hand a couple times with the needle and the scissors, but everything else went well. I just put a few bandaids on my cuts. Some of my co-workers says that it happens a lot with beginners, which i can understand that can happen. Otherwise im pretty okay. Sometimes after work i would write a letter to my family about hows America. So far im liking it. -
Survivor
Life has been pretty good. Its been about 11 years ever since i have moved into America. I have moved out of my friend's apartment and now i live on my own. I have moved jobs again and again over the years. Now i work in Triangle Shirtwaist Factory and i really like it. Until something bad happened. It was a normal day today until a fire started spearding throughout the building. I escaped and i was outside but i started running away from the building then couldn't breathe and i passed out. -
Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire - Part 1
I woke up in a some kind of white bed that was surrounded by other white beds. Ic ant hear anything and everything is blurry. Then i started looking around and i saw people on the same kind of bed i was in but they all looked like they were breathless. Then i just started puking beside my bed. These people surrounding me were dead, every single one of them. Some of them looked burned and some looked like a pile of guts. I just started screaming and crying and started running away. -
Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire - Part 2
As soon as i ran out of there. I bumped into a very good looking man. I probaly look like a mad woman, but i didnt care.I grabbed him and started hugging him and crying into his shoulder and then he started patting me on the back. After i was done crying for a bit i told him my name and what was wrong and then he told me his name and he said everything was going to be okay. We both went out of the area we were in and went into the city and what i saw was a huge tragedy. -
The day i died
Today was the day Ariana Ava Brown died. She died of old age and was married with 3 children. she met her husband during the tragedy of The Triangle Shirt Waist and 3 years later they got married and 2 more years after that they had several children. Her family back home were very wealthy and now Arianas's two little sisters took after her and moved to America in Ney York. Ariana was a very famous dress maker. She made about a thousand dresses in her life time. Ariana Ava Brown R.I.P.
