    Jianguo Dong was born December, 25th 1890 in Western china. Jianguo's father moved to America, which they call in China, the Golden Mountain. Jianguo lived on a small rice fram all his life, and decided to move to America.

    The Lines were so very long it took 3 hours for me to arrive to the doctor. The doctor fliped over my eye lids. It was only painful for a second. He then sent me to another line, he sent some women, men, and children into another line, the women wept, the children clunged close to their mothers, and the men had ablank look of hoplessness on their faces.

    The Transcontinential Railroad took me a couple of days to find, get hired, and settle in. My job is the Help lay the track all the way to the East coast. I will not be settled for long, because we are constantly moving. this will be a long journey. I hope it will pay off

    It is very cold i have no idea where we are. I stay up every night because I can not sleep, because of the cold. last night i saw some people with the same skin as me, but they were not chinese. iam getting fearful for our safety.

When I got here i met a man on the street named Guy Bays, he let me stay in his home, andgave me a job in his steel mill, we have became good friends, I am now his co-owner, and the owner of the Company Mr. Carnige has askedme if i would like to move, and start a mill somewhere else. I replied yes.
