Spanish as an official language
Addition of Spanish as an official language opens more doors of opportunity, particularly in Central and South America -
Mission Statement
With a growing need to define the unique mode of education that IB offers. The mission statement of the IB is founded. -
Addition of another official language (Perhaps Mandarin)
Within the next 10 years, the IB will need to add an additional language to secure a global client base. English, French and Spanish cover the Americas, Europe, and Africa reasonably well. Logic dictates to maintain its International standing the IB would need to accommodate more East Asian countries and can do so by adopting an East Asian language as an official language. Mandarin would be a good start. -
Development of IT skills from a younger age
I believe that more and more jobs will require IT skills in the future and rather than a choice subject, coding and other IT skills should be developed in students from a younger age. -
Focus on social skills/ responsible use of tech - Update of mission statement
Due to the ever an increasing use of Social media and devices, students are developing social skills at a slower rate. As educators we should aim to nurture these social skills and develop responsible use of technology. The IB mission statement should reflect this.
