    Ian MacDougall Hacking is a Canadian Philosopher. He was born in Vancouver BC on February 18, 1936. He earned his first degree, a BA in Mathematics and Physics at the University of British Columbia. He later earned an MA, BA and Ph.D. in Moral Sciences from Cambridge University.     Current Life of Ian Hacking

    Currently, Ian Hacking lives in Toronto with his second wife, Judith Baker. He retired at the mandatory age of 70. He retains the title of Professeur Honoraire at Collège de France and Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto. He has 3 children from the previous marriage and 7 grandchildren.
