  • 200,000 BCE

    Australopithecus

    4 million years ago (MYA) South Africa, presented Ethiopia, people’s were 1 meter tall and 7 feet, live in trees, first human like creatures, start of our eveloution chain.
  • Period: 199,000 BCE to 198,000 BCE

    Homo habilis

    Brain case had become fuller
    Beginning of a slight forehead appearing
    Face smaller and shorter than those of earlier ancestors

  • Neolithic revolution

    The Neolithic revolution started around 10000 BC.
    In the Fertile Crescent, a boomerang-shaped region of the Middle East where humans first took up farming.
    Shortly after, Stone Age humans in other parts of the world also began to practice agriculture.

  • Homo sapiens

    This skull is transitional between Homo heidelbergensis and early modern Homo sapiens. It has a number of primitive features but also has some modern characteristics such as a reduced brow ridge and smaller facial features.

  • Homo erectus

    Alive from 1.98 million years ago to 143,000 years ago, he was the first to leave Africa and the first to master the use of fire. Ranging from 4 foot 9 inches to 6 foot 1 inch and from 88 to 150 pounds, Homo erectus was the first ancestor to approximate modern humans in size.
