Color Choosing
First you choose your color. Note: this can be very difficult if you have many to choose from. That's why I usually pick more than one. Because its almost summer, how about some SUMMER colors! For example,Teal & Peach. -
Setting Up
Next, you set up an organized yet comfy working station. You need tape, a couple paper towels, your polish, of course, clear coat, and scissors. (If you have chipping polish on already, you will need remover & cotton balls) -
The Good, The Bad, and The Painting
After getting comfortable, start painting! If you want the base coat to be teal, paint every nail teal except your ring finger, which will be peach. When painting, make sure to go slow to not make a mess. If you mess up, its okay! If you were a proffessional, you wouldnt be reading this timeline. Tip: If you are right handed, your right hand wont look as great as your left hand and vice versa, so dont feel bad! After you are done with the first coat, start a second one. -
The Detail
The final step to painting your nails is the "special effects." Take the tape and cut it into a regular sized piece or thin strands using the scissors, so you dont get those little ridges. (Unless you WANT the ridges) Put the tape on your ring finger where the peach is in any pattern you want. Paint the teal over the peach and slowly peel the tape off. Your pattern should come out beautifully! After it dries, just slap the clear coat on & wait for it to dry. Your nails are officially PAINTED! -
Don't Forget To Clean Up!
Alright, now that our nails are dry, cleanup time! All you do is throw away the paper towels, throw away any cotton balls you used, put the polish where you found it, and organize whatever else you used to accomplish nail painting. E N J O Y!
