A passenger on the New World trip wrote a book claiming he had discovered it. A mapmaker read his book, and named the country America. Columbus got no credit. -

Columbus moves back to Spain.
After his rescue, Columbus makes it back to Spain. He died on May 20th, 1506. It was not mentioned at all and no one was allowed to say his name. -

After Doctors studied Columbus's remains, they found out that he had died from Reiter's syndrome, which is a rare disease caught from living in tight quarters with poor hygiene. -
