    Mr. & Mrs. Hockings

Mr. and Mrs. Hockings were teachers from my old schools. We were so close that they called me their 'unbiological daughter' and I called them my 'unbiological parents'. They really helped me grow as a person because I would always go to them if I was having trouble at school or anything. They were always there to help bring me up and give me guidance in times where I don't know what to do.

    Robbie

Robbie was my sunday school teacher of my last year in sunday school. I think that out of all the teachers in my Sunday school days, Robbie impacted me the most. Alot of the times, he would make us step us as a leader and serve others. This helped me gain alot of experience. Although there were many times where I failed, Robbie always told me that it was ok and to keep trying again.
  • Dad

My dad is such a role model to me. On this day, I believe we had some company dinner and my dad is sort of the boss. Seeing him communicate and socialize with all his workers and their families is so inspiring. I feel a leader who is able to be friends with their followers is a true role model and thats who my dad is. Seeing him lead such a big company is amazing and inspires me to become a decent leader in the future. He reminds me that if he can do it then I can because we're related by blood.
  • 8B

8B was my 'tribe' in my old school. These people were like family to me and we had eachother's backs through thick and thin. Oddly enough, I was a very different person when I was in YCIS and I was very loud and vocal. I was also seen as the person who takes charge in 8B, along with my friend. It made me feel good, because they saw me as their leader and I felt like I had the responsibility of taking care of things if something goes wrong. Thinking back to those days, gives me confidence now.
  • Tianne

I've known Tianne since freshman year when I first started volleyball. And I am so glad I got to know her because she is such a great ball of energy that immediately brightens my mood. So many times in volleyball I would crack under pressure and she would always be there to pep talk to me up and boost my confidence. She also always pushes me to do things that I'm not comfortable with because she knows whats best for me and I truly appreciate her.
  • Rhonda

Bro Rhonda is such an amazing person. I think I started to become friends with her in freshman year but I think this year we're really good friends. She's been such a great influence on me and she's always striving to help me and others whenever we need her help. She impacted me because seeing her do so many things with her gives me motivation to make something out of my life.
  • Maggie

My cousin Maggie is a great leader. Before she graduated from ICS last year, she was the leader of so many clubs. I did not understand how she could juggle leading so many clubs at once and being on top of it all. She is also an amazing hypeman, everytime I'm scared to do something, she's always there to hype me up and make me feel motivated to be out of my comfort zone. She was the leader of GIN club which I was a part of and seeing her lead really inspired me.
  • Yes Theory

Yes Theory is a youtube channel that is basically 3 guys with a theory of saying yes to everything. They do crazy stuff in their channel and their motto is 'Seek Discomfort'. I found their youtube channel about a year ago and seeing them do all this stuff really impcated me. I am not one to put myself out there and really, I'm just a big scaredy cat. But watching their videos made me take opportunities and even though alot of times I failed miserably, I was still glad that I did it in the end.
  • Terence

Terence is my brother and even if we're not close at all, I still look up to him. From since I can remember, Terence's dream is to be a part of the US government somehow. Its his passion and I respect him for that. Now he's in college studying so hard to reach his dream, he even decided to take Arabic class because he said it could be useful in the future in politics. Seeing him work so hard for his dream and goal motivates me to work harder and harder everyday.
  • Lek

In my WWW trip of freshman year when I went to Yaowawit for service. I met a Thai boy named Lek. He was super tiny and cute. One day, I served at the kindergarten and had to lead all these kids and teach them with the teacher. I had to guide all these kids through the day and Lek was one of those kids. Lek and I became best friends and he really taught me about leadership through trial and error.
