French-Indian War
Conflicts increased when France refused to leave the forts they built in British territory. This led to the beggining of the Seven-Year war. The France won may of the first fights, but the British eventually came back at the end and took victory.

Proclamation Line 1763
This was an act that the British government inforced after their victory in the French-Indian War. The act prohibited settlement west of the Appalation Mountains.
