Nazi Party
The Head of the Party, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Frankfurt, Germeny. 90% of Germans showed unflinching support for Hitler. Concentration Camps were set up as soon as he was appointed chancelor. -
Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service
It is the first major law passed against Jews which excluded them for State Service. (employess, civil servants etc;) -
Jewish Population
By this date, the Jewish Population was over 9 million in Germany which made infuriated Hitler. -
Kristallnacht (The Night of the Broken Glass)
Jewish homes, hospitals, and schools were attacked. Over 1,00 synagogues were burned down and over 7,000 Jewish Businesses were destroyed. Almost 91 Jews were killed and 30,000 Jews were arrested. -

Liz's father is sent to France to fight in the war. Since they are German, some Germans were forced to fight in the war. -

World War 2 begins with the German Army invading Poland. -

Germans establish a ghetto for the Jews in Poland. -

The German Army attacked Holland with no warning. They attacked Belgium, Luxemburg, and France the same day. -
Red Army (The Elephant in the Garden)
They bombed Dresden, Germany. Lizzie's dad was in the war and the red army was bombing her hometown. -
The invasion of HItler ( Never surrender)
When Winston Churchil became prime minister Hitler invaded France, Holland and Bellgium. Winston wanted to end this as quick as possible so he started a rebellion against Hitler. -
Speech ( Never Surender)
Winston Churchil delievers a speech about how they wanted to join the war against Hitler and take him down. -
Bomb on Beach (For Freedom)
Yvette and her friend go to the beach and one of their other friends dies from a bomb and both of them get injured. This can be connected to World War 2. -
Pearl Harbor
After Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the United States entered the war. -
Jews were jobless ( The Diary of Anne Frank)
This connects to the Law of Restoration ( April 7th, 1933) when many Jews lost their jobs. "Father has been home lately. There's nothing for him to do at the office; it must be awful to feel you're not needed." (pg. 77) Anne Frank's dad clearly lost his job before but didn't want to scare her. -
Deportation (Shadow Life)
Anne Frank's friend was deported with her family. So many Jew families were deported and sent to Concentration Camps in Germany, Holland , and more. -

Nazis invaded France and then Suzan was forced out of the house with her family and was sent to a Concentration Camp. -
Jews were Captured (Shadow Life)
Anne Frank , 15 year old, was captured from her hiding place which was the small attic over Otto's factory. Even though Jews tried their best to hide, the Nazis found them.
