    Anti- Jewish Boycott
    The Nazi stages an economic boycott, that targets the Jewish owned businesses and offices. It was presented as an act of revenge for the bad international press against Germany. They claimed that the Jews were spreading stories to damage Germany's reputation. This was the beginning of a nationwide campaign by the Nazi's against the Jews.

    Law limits Jews in Public Schools
    There was a law that limited the number of Jewish students in any public school to no more then 5 percent of the total student population. Educators taught students to love Hitler, obedience to state authority, militarism, and racism. Jew in Germany turned to private schools for their children.

    The Prevention of Offspring with Hereditary Diseases
    This was a law where they forced students to get sterilized. They did this to certain individuals with physical and mental disabilities. They sometimes did this without their parents permission.
  • President von Hindenburg dies

    President von Hindenburg dies
    The German president Paul von Hindenburg dies. Hitler then becomes president of Germany. Hitler then also becomes the absolute dictator of Germany, so there are no legal or constitutional limits to his authority.
  • Buchenwald Concentration Camp Opens

    Buchenwald Concentration Camp Opens
    This camp is a camp for males only. This was one of the largest camps established within German borders. Women weren't allowed till 1943 or early 1944. German SS ans police sent almost 10,000 Jews to Buchenwald where the camps gave them cruel punishments and many died.

    Auschwitz-Birkenau Camp was Established
    The inspectorate of concentration camps opens a second camp at Auschwitz. This camp was originally designated for imprisoning large numbers of Soviet prisoners of war. It was also functioned as a killing center from March 1942 until November 1944.
  • Germans Destroy Lidice

    Germans Destroy Lidice
    Hitler ordered a destruction of Lidice because of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in Prague. In May of 1942 Czech agents were sent to assassinate Heydrich which is the highest ranked Nazi official. The Germans released a wave of terror. The village of Lidice was set on fire and the remains of the buildings were destroyed.

    Deportation of Dutch Jews
    The Germans began the deportation of Dutch Jews from Westerbork. On September 3, 1944 around 100 trains carried more then 100,000 people to Auschwitz. This also included about 60,000 Jews to Auschwitz and about 34,000 Jews to Sobibor.

    Demolition of Auschwitz Gas Chambers and Crematoria
    Chief Heinrich Himmler orders the destruction of the Auschwitz gas chambers and Crematoria. They tried to destroy the evidence they had of mass killings. While all this was happening the prisoners were forced to dismantle and dynamite the structures.
  • Hitler Commits Suicide

    Hitler Commits Suicide
    On April 30, 1945 the Soviet forced go near Hitlers command bunker in Central Berlin. They saw in his bunker that Hitler committed suicide. Berlin falls to the Soviets within days.
