  • Adolf Hitler is appointed as Chancellor

    The Nazi party takes control of Germany, when the president of Germany, Paul von Hindenburg, gives the position of Chancellor to Adolf Hitler.
  • Reichstag Fire Decree

    When the German parliament burnt to the ground because of arson. The Nazi's used propaganda to blame the Communists for the incident. Because of the President Paul von Hindenburg made it the Reichstag fire decree.
  • Law against “Dangerous Habitual Criminals”

    The new law allows for the immediate arrest of habitual criminals. As long as the person is deemed dangerous to the German society.
  • The Death of President von Hindenburg

    As soon as the death of von Hindenburg hitler gains support from the German people. Later that month, hitler abolishes the president office and declares himself the Führer for the german people.
  • Ban on Jehovah’s Witness Organizations

    The German government bans all Jehovah's witnesses, this was done because of refusal to pledge allegiance to the state. Many of the Jehovah's witnesses were drafted into the war.
  • Reichstag Speech

    Rising tensions Führer and Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler tells the German public and the world that the outbreak of war would mean the end of European Jewry. Theories arose causing people to wonder hitler's true intent.
  • Auschwitz Camp Established

    Auschwitz was the biggest concentration camp in all of Germany. This camp had three main camps, all of which were forced to be put to labor. All of them were used as a killing center at some point.
  • German Surrender

    Soviet forces encapsulated Berlin, the capital of germany. They did this on April 25, 1945. On that same day the soviets combined forces with the Americans. After heavy fighting, Soviet forces neared Adolf Hitler’s command bunker in central Berlin. On April 30, 1945, Hitler committed suicide.
