Since they owe money, The Great depression starts and less industry happens. And then the INFLATION starts. Prices of things raise and currency goes up. A 2 lb pound of bread would cost 2.37 marks, then it went to 3.90 marks a year later. in 1922 it is 163.15 but in December 1923 its 399 billion marks. -
OVER THROWN? Treason.
Hitler attempts to over throw the German government. Some one warned them though and there were guards. Since there were guards there were guns. The people were rounded up and arrested. They committed treason and went to jail. Hitler then went on trial but he did not get killed. -
Hitler ARRESTED?
He got arrested for treason and so then during his hearing he said all of his plans so every body heard it. He was given all of his necessity and what he wanted. He was arrested for 9 months. He was treated well in jail though. -

They had a republic style government. -
First concentration camp set ups. DACHAU
Political prisoners. People who spoke up against them were arrested and brought. In the beginning, these were not for murder. they were for imprisonment and hard labor, not for killing. People still died there though. Dachau was the first concentration camp. The enabling act happened there at that time too. -
Chandelier? CHANCELLOR
Hitler became chancellor in January 1933. He started rising to the top. He got rid of all his rivals that were in the Nazis. Hitler's rising stance forced Hindenburg to give him some power. Hindenburg didn't trust Adolf at all. He gave him Chancellor so the voters who voted for him would not be mad. He gave him a job that could not be enough of deadly. -
This is where the story gets LIT!
Hitler blames communist for fire. Reichstag Fire of February. Hitler was already chancellor. this happened 7th-8th. They rebuilt it. -

Adolf Hitler gets power and then changes laws and makes it illegal to be in any other political party. This allowed Hitler to eliminate his rivals. -

They started to make ways to identify Jews so they could attack them. If your ancestry had any Jewish in it then you are considered Jewish yourself. That means you will be targeted more. They take away the citizen ship of Jews. Jews were not allowed to fly the national flag and also they had to marry Jews only. You could go to jail for waving a Germany flag. -
Lets move!
Germany moved to Austria and Germany annexes CZECHOSLOVAKIA. They basically did what they wanted. To avoid conflict the other countries let them do it. They then built up their Military. They then invaded Austria and Austria could not do much about it. Appeasement happened. -
Euthanasia
80,000 people with disabilities died at least. People with mental and physical disabilities were killed. -
WORLD WAR 2
This started after the Germans invaded Poland [has 3 million Jews]. -
Death camp.
The first "Death Camp" opens in Central Poland. Vans with small gas chambers in the rear are used. People would gas people in shacks. They realized using cars gas was expensive on gas so they got Zyklon B. It was tested at Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. 1 million [out of 11 million] people died at that camp because of that gas. This was effective because with in a minute people passed out and in two the people would die. This was effective because the murderers would not feel the same guilt. -

The largest mass-killing group on record who was at Babi Yar in Ukraine. 33,000 people were killed in just under 2 days. -
Wannsee Conference "FINAL SOLUTION"
Nazi leaders approve the Final solution or basically exterminating the Jews. -
They fight back. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
Residents smuggle weapons in, an uprising lasted for about a month. SS troops arrested and deported residents after the uprising ended. -

Camp rebellions.
Most people tried to make a break for it. Treblinka started in august 1943. In Sobibor, October 1943. Over 250 as well as 200 other people were killed. Over 70 SS guards died. -

Allies advancing toward death camps. Nazis also evacuate prisoners. Nazis march prisoners to avoid capture. Brutal treatment and harsh conditions along the way. -

They had prayer groups in the camps instead of listening to the Nazis. People would be non compliance. They would make Music, Art work and still goes to schools -
FREEEEEEE
The camps were set free. Allies and others helped in the process. -
Hitler died.
Hitler commits suicide rather than facing capture by the Soviet Red Army. They then burn his body. -

Nuremberg trials start to happen. This happens when a crime is on the line.
