Jewish Boycott
On April 1, 1933 the Nazis organize a boycott. The boycott of Jewish owned businesses and shops prevented the Jew from being able to run their business. This event took place in Germany nationwide. -
President Hitler
On August 2, 1934 Hitler becomes president. President Hindenburg died and someone needed to take over office. Hindenburg's death allowed Hitler to become President of Germany. -
Jehovah's Witness
On April 1, 1935 the ban of Jehovah's Witness Organizations occurred. The German government bans all of Jehovah's Witness Organizations. Jehovah's Witness is Christian dominated. -
Concentration Camps
On July 15, 1937 opens a new concentration camp. This camp is called the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. It's the largest concentration camp and it's located within the old German borders of 1937. -
Jew's Passports
The Reich Ministry of the Interior declares all German passports invalid held by Jews. Jews were forced to surrender their passports. Once the letter "J" was stamped on the passport it would become valid. -
Invasion of Poland
On September 1, 1939 Germany invades Poland. This invasion initiates WWII. Soon other countries will declare war upon Germany. -
Auschwitz Camp
On May 20, 1940 Auschwitz is established. This is the largest concentration camp complex to be established. The SS authorities established Auschwitz. -
Euthanasia
On August 24, 1941 Hitler responds to public protests. Hitler responds by ordering the murder of the disabled. This event is known as the Euthanasia Killings. -
Assassination Attempt
On July 20, 1944 German military officers attempt to assassinate Hitler. They planned on doing it at Rastenburg in Eastern Prussia. Their attempt ultimately failed in the end. -
Liberation of Ohrdruf
On April 4, 1945 was the liberation of Ohrdruf. This is the first Nazi Camp liberated by US troops. This camp was a sub-camp of the Buchenwald Concentration Camp.
