    At this time Hitler has been appointed to the position of Chancellor of Germany. This is about the highest level of authority aside from being dictator.
  • Reichstag Fire Decree

    The coalition gov blamed the communists through propaganda for this event. This event permitted the regime to arrest and incarcerate political opponents without specific charge.
  • Warsaw Ghetto Sealed

    The German higher ups have ordered The Warsaw Ghetto to be sealed. This happened to be the largest ghetto in both size and population count, confining about 350,000 Jews.
  • United States declares war on japan

    After pearl harbor being the event the day before, the U.S. declares war on japan. Thus entering the United States into WW2.
  • Assassination of Reinhard Heydrich

    Czech Agents who had trained in Great Britain parachuted into German-occupied Czech territory to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich in Prague. Two Czech agents succeeded in rolling a hand grenade under his car.
  • Death Penalty for Aiding Jews

    Recently, many Jews have left their designated Jewish residential areas. For the time, they are in the Warsaw District. There has been a death penalty placed on the Jews if they leave the residential area.
  • Danish Jews Escape

    From September 20 into October, 1943, approximately 7,200 Danish Jews escape to Sweden with the help of the Danish resistance movement and many individual Danish citizens.
  • D-day

    On June 6, 1944, under the code name Operation “Overlord,” US, British, and Canadian troops land on the beaches of Normandy, France, on the English Channel coast east of Cherbourg and west of Le Havre. This was a very bloody battle and was one of the most famous battles from WW2
