    Boycott of Jewish business
    Starting on April 1, 1933 the Nazi party began telling citizens to stop buy from local Jewish businesses. This was the start to the antisemitism in Germany. The boycott only lasted a grand total of 1 day and was mostly just ignored.
  • The Law for the Restoration of Professional Civil Services

    The Law for the Restoration of Professional Civil Services
    This stated that all Jewish civil workers lost their jobs, including teachers, judges, and lawyers. Any Jew that had jobs in any civil duties were banned from their jobs with this law. The only exemptions were if you worked before August 1, 1914 in these jobs, were a WWI veteran or lost a father or son in the war.
  • Sterilization Law is passed

    Sterilization Law is passed
    Anyone with a mental or physical disability were forced to be sterilized so they did not muddy up Hitler's "Aryan" race. About 400,000 were sterilized. Others effected were Gypsies, asocial people and Afro-Germans.
  • Death of Hindenburg

    Death of Hindenburg
    German president Paul von Hindenburg died while Adolf Hitler was Chancellor. Hitler became president and merged the two positions. This made him the supreme ruler of Germany and this was a start to his dictatorship.
  • Buchenwald opens

    Buchenwald opens
    Buchenwald was one of the first and largest concentration camp within German borders. It was located near Weimar, Germany. It was responsible for approximately 57,000 deaths.
  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht
    Kristallnacht was a nationwide program targeted towards Jews. It was where the Nazi party burned synagogues, looted the homes of Jews, as well as their businesses. They also killed at least 91 Jews.
  • Auschwitz established

    Auschwitz established
    The SS make the largest concentration camp of the Holocaust. 1 in 6 Jews that died had died in Auschwitz. 1.1 million died here.
  • Warsaw Ghetto sealed

    Warsaw Ghetto sealed
    The Warsaw ghetto was the largest Jewish ghetto and it was located in Poland after Germany invaded it. 400,000 were held in an area of 1.3 sq miles. From here they were taken to concentration and death camps.
  • Euthanasia killings

    Euthanasia killings
    Hitler in response to protests "ended" euthanasia killings. Before this 70,000 people were killed by Nazi healthcare officials who had physical and mental disabilities. To kill the patients they used starvation, purposely not treating diseases and lethal injection.
  • Hitler commits suicide

    Hitler commits suicide
    Soviets close in on Hitler's bunker in Berlin. Berlin then falls to the Soviets. He killed himself by gunshot.
