    On April 7, 1933 shortly after Hitler took power in Germany, he ordered all "non Aryans" to be removed from government jobs.

    After taking power in 1933, the Nazis had concentrated on silencing their political opponents-communists, sociallists, liberals and anyone else who spoke against the government. Once they elenimated their politial enemies, they targetd other groups like Jews, Gypsis, Freemasons and Jehova's Wittnesses.

    Nurmberger Laws
    In 1935, the Nurmberger Laws stripped Jews of their German citizenship, jobs, and propert. To make it easier for the Nazi to identify Jews, Jews had to wear a bright yellow Star of David attached to their clothing.
  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht
    November 9-10, 1938, became knwon as Kristallnacht. Nazi storm troopers attacked Jewish homes, businesses, and synagogues across Germany.
  • The Final Solution

    The Final Solution
    Not only Jews but even other groups like Gypsies, Freemasons, Jehovah's Wittnesesses, homosexuellls and people with diverse physical and menatl diabilities were target. Jews had to opperate in underground organisation and they had to be careful not to be found by the SS. Also Jews were ordered into dismal, overcrowed Ghettos, segreted Jewish areas in certain Polish cities. There they had to be as long till they were deported into trains and trucks into concentration Camps, labor camps.
  • St. Louis

    St. Louis
    Official indifference to the plight of Germany's Jews was in evidence in the case of the ship St. Louis. This German ocean liner passes Miami in 1939. Although 740 of the liner's 943 passengers had U.S. immigration papers, the coast guard followed the ship to prevent anyone from diembarking in America. The ship wasforced to return back to europe.
  • Death Camps

    Death Camps
    As deadly as overwork, starvation, beatings, and bullets were, they didi not kill fast enough to satisfy the Nazis. The Germans built six death camps in Poland two of them are Chelmno and Auschwitz. Each camp had a gas champer which was built to kill 12000 Jews a day. In Auschwitz when prisoner arrived they were selected from those who are strong enough to work from those who were supposted to die right away.
  • The final Stage

    The final Stage
    Those poeple who were supposted to die right away, had to leave all there privat stuff at the entrace of the camp. Then they had to undressed themselves in a room beside the gas chamber. They were send with a piece of soap in the gas chamber and told to take a shower. One time everyone was in the gas chamber, the gas was released and the people chocked and died. But Prisoners were also shot, hanged, or injected with poison for health experimences.
