In 1933 over 9 million Jews lived in Europe(1.5% of the population) they were suffering from the Great Depression like the rest of Europe. -
1933-1938
Adolf Hitler was appointed on 30th January 1933 as German Chancellor. This brought an end to the democratic parliament that was established after World war 1 and Hilter became a dictator. With this he gave citizens of Germany little rights and even less to Jews by taking away all of their public and private lives. -
The start of the war
Poland was invaded by Germany on September 1st 1939 which invoked war. All the Jews had propety and were imprisoned in labour camps. -

1942-1945
The Jewish were massed killed by the Germans in gas chambers from the labour camps. -
After 1945
Over 6 millions Jews had been killed but many Germans had been sentenced as War Criminals
