    In 1933 over 9 million Jews lived in Europe(1.5% of the population) they were suffering from the Great Depression like the rest of Europe.

    Adolf Hitler was appointed on 30th January 1933 as German Chancellor. This brought an end to the democratic parliament that was established after World war 1 and Hilter became a dictator. With this he gave citizens of Germany little rights and even less to Jews by taking away all of their public and private lives.
