    Hitler in WW1
    Hitler was one of the soldeirs who faught in world war 1. WW1 was a war centered in Europe that began on July 28th and lasted until November 11 1918. This is important because i believe this is the begining of his aggressive thoughts/actions.
  • War Ends

    WW1 ended with a german defeat in November of 1918. This is important because it showed Hitler that he has the power to defeat anyone and it gave him even more perseverance and determination to become the leader leader.
  • Nazi party was formed

    In 1920, Hermann Göring, Adolf Hitler, Anton Drexler, and Dietrich Eckart formed the Nazi party. This is an important event because the Nazi party was the first big step that he made to having leadership. If they did not create the Nazi party, I don't think that Hitler would have had as much leadership that he had and it would have taken a lot longer to gain the control.

    On July 1st 1921, Hitler was named the leader of the Nazi party. This is important because it gave him full power of the actions and he could basically do what ever he wanted with this group. Also Hitler had the chance to show what he was capable of doing if he were to be "der fürer" of Germany.

    The Great Depression was a very severe worldwide economic depression that lasted about 10 years. Since the Great Depression had such a big effect on people, everyone was very vulnerable and desprate. Hitler saw this as the perfect opportunity to start taking charge. This is important because this was one of the main events that helped Hitler gain leadership since everyone was so in need.

    On September 14th 1930, the Germans elected the Nazis in the federal election. In Hitlers speech he said he would give the people what they needed most and he made many promises to make Germany a better place. On Election Day, the Nazis got 6371000 votes which is over 18% of Germans population at the time which gave them 107 seats in the Reichstag. This is important because it meant that the Nazi party went from the smallest party to the second largest, meaning they became more popular.

    On March 3rd 1932, Hitler ran in the presidential election and lost. He ran 2 different times and lost both times to Paul von Hindenburg.This is important because him running for the presidential elections allowed many people to see who Hitler is and this gained him a lot more votes/supports/believers even though he did not win them.
  • Named chancellor of Germany

    On January 30th 1933, Hitler was officially named chancellor of Germany. Hitler ran against Paul von Hindenburg for the role and got 2nd place both times. Hindenburg reluctantly agreed to giving Hitler the roll of chancellor in order to promote political balance. This event was important because this meant he was one step even closer to being the dictator of Germany.
  • The Reichstag burns down

    The Reichstag burns down
    On Febuary 27th 1933, the Reichstag was set on fire and burned down to the ground. Before,Hitler had a meeting with Hindenburg and had Him sign many contracts including one giving Hitler full leadership if Hidenburg died. Later, a protester seen walking around town attempting to burn down government buildings, decided to burn down the reichstage building. This is important because this building burning down killed Hindenburg which meant that the role of leader ship was given to Hitler.

    After the death of Paul von Hindenburg, Hitler became "der führer" (leader). The official decision was made on March 23, 1933. This is extremely important because it was the final step to his dictatorship. Hitler finally achieved his goal and became the ruler of Germany.
