    The Munich Putsch (Beer Hall Putsch)
    "On November 8–9, 1923, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party led a coalition group in an attempted coup d'état which came to be known as the Beer Hall Putsch." This coup d'etat was aimed at the state government and the federal government of Germany, hoping to overthrow it and create a new government.

    "Volume One of Adolf Hitler’s philosophical autobiography, Mein Kampf, is published." The book laid out plans for his Third Reich and his ideas for what will happen to Europe in the years he was in power. He wrote this bibliography while he was in prison and it sold nearly 10,000 in its first year.

    Hitler Becomes Chancellor
    Hitler was named chancellor of Germany by president Paul Von Hindenburg. At this time Adolf Hitler was already the leader, or "fÜhrer", of the nazi party. Hitler continued recruiting many people with his charismatic speeches against the post-war government.

    President Paul Von Hindenburg died after naming Hitler the chancellor of Germany, thus allowing Hitler and his nazi party to seize control over the country and begin creating his Third Reich.

    Nuremberg Laws
    The Nuremberg laws that were imposed stripped all jewish germans of any citizenship thus making them just mere "subjects of the state". These laws were imposed for Hitlers "super-race" of germans; blonde hair and blue eyes. The jews of germany were then all pinned with a yellow star of David to symbolize that they are jewish.

    Annexation of Austria
    Hitler sent troops over to capture Austria for his nazi party/Third Reich. Austrian chancellor Kurt Von Schuschnigg resigned the day before and told Austian citizens to not resist Germanys advance.
  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht
    German nazi's launched an attack on Germanys and Austrias jewish citizens, destroying their houses and business. This continued on to the next day and was named "Kristallnacht", or "Night of Broken Glass", on acount of the countless smashed windows. The attack left around "100 Jews dead, 7,500 Jewish businesses damaged and hundreds of synagogues, homes, schools and graveyards vandalized.".

But the dictators were, despite appearances, both playing to their own political needs." With Hitler starting World War II, there was only one power he was afraid of; Russia.

    Invasion of Poland
    Somewhere around 1.5 million german troops were sent to invade Poland while Germany was also bombing Polish airfields. As Britian and France heard news about this invasion, Hitler began claiming it as a "defensive" action, which didn't convince anybody. Two days later, on Sep. 3rd, they declared war against Germany, officially starting World War II.

    Germany launched Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of Russia from three different offensive spots with over 3 million troops. This invasion is known as the most powerful invasion force in history.
