The setting of this story is in our galaxy. Specifically, it is on Earth, in England, on a Vogon construction starship, on the Heart of Gold (a starship), and a planet called Magrathea. It is in our current time, but in the past 10 years. -
Characters- Arthur Dent
A person that lives on Earth and was alive when it was destroyed. He is saved from destruction by his friend Ford Prefect. He lived in England. He is a Major-Dynamic character. -
Characters- Ford Prefect
Ford Prefect is a friend of Arthur. He is originally from Betelguse 7 but left when it was destroyed. He was eventually trapped on Earth when it was destroyed. He helped Arthur escape. He is also the editor of the real Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He is a Minor character. -
Characters- Zaphod Beeblebrox
Zaphod is a person from Betelgese 5 and is Ford's cousin. He is an out-to-lunch type of person. He is also the president of the Galaxy. He has two heads. He is a minor-round character. -
Characters- Trillian
Formarlly known as Tricia McMillian, Trillian is from Earth but left before it was destroyed with her boyfriend, Zaphod Beeblebrox. She is very nice. She is a minor-static character. -
Theme
The theme of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is there is always something bigger in the world that you have no idea of. -
Earth Destroyed
Earth was destroyed by the Vogon Construction company for a hyperspace bypass. The only human that survived was Arthur Dent. -
Arthur goes to space
Arthur and Ford are picked up by a Vogon spaceship and are transported into space. -
Arthur and Ford leave the Vogons
Arthur and Ford are found by the Vogons and are sent aggresively sent into space. They are then picked up, just before they die, by the Heart of Gold, a spaceship that travels on improbability and was kidnapped by Zaphod Beeblebrox. -
Reach Magrathea
They go to Magrathea because Zaphod wants to and are fired at by missles. They barely escape and land on the planet where they don't find any life forms, but look around anyway. -
Conflict
Man vs. Nature- Arthur must adjust to space and his new life without Earth.
Man vs. Man- The Magratheans try to kill them and want Arthur's brain. -
Point of View
The point of view in this story is 3rd person. -
Tone
The tone of this movie is very funny and loose.
