  • Holocaust

    Holocaust
    Late January 1933 to early May 1945 is when the holocaust occurred and there was around 6 million German Jews were killed. The holocaust happened because the Nazis in Germany made people scared of the Jews and they wanted to get rid of the Jews from Germany. A lot of the Jews who lived in Germany tried to get out of Germany but back then Canada wasn't as welcoming because they didn't want to invite the Jews into our country. Canada came up with the "None is to many" act and the refused the Jews.
  • Regina Riot

    Regina Riot
    Regina riot is were the men in the camps wanted better working conditions and healthcare. Since the wanted to improve the place they worked at the workers started striking and then everyone went to Regina because the guy who is pretty much the boss was there and he went to meet with the prime mister Bennett and he got kicked out of the office so Bennett being mad told the officers in Regina to arrest other leaders and the people fought back with rocks and sticks.

    In world war one the aboriginals weren't allowed to join the army until later on because Canada didn't have enough solders without the aboriginals helping out. Once the second world war happened the first nations were able to join the war from the start.
  • None is too many

    When the Jews in Germany wanted to leave Germany they went to all of the other counties to try to get away from the violence. When the Jews came to Canada looking for a place to live where they would be more excepted, or so they thought. When Canada found out about how the Jews were trying to get into a new country they said "None is too many" and because of that they wouldn't allow the Jews into Canada.

    After Hong Kong Canadian were scared they were spies. Even though more than half were born in Canada the Canadian government sent them to camps and sold there house sand and what ever else they had with out there say. The Canadian Japanese had a choice to go to the camps or go back home to Hong Kong but a lot of them had never even been to Hong Kong before.

    In The battle of Dieppe Canada's allies lost a lot of it's tropes and many allies were taken prisoner. This event was important to the growth of Canada because everyone learned from what happened and the army was able to use what they learned to improve the skills of the army to the max.
  • Juno beach

    Juno beach
    Juno beach was an area of 10k wide. Canadians planed to secure those areas and cut off road access. When Canadians were going to take over just like they had planed earlier, they found out that the German arms was strong and that the German army was able to protect any ports.
  • VJ Day

    VJ Day
    VJ Day was the day where Japan surrendered to Japan's Allied forces. It was also the last war of the Second World War. This was the most important event to remember because it ended the war of all wars and the Allies won over the Japanese.
