Britain had declare war against Canada in 1914. There was never serious doubt about Canada’s response the government and people were united in support of Britain and France. Canada declares war on Japan after its attack on Pearl Harbor
The Japanese attack on the Americans on December 7, 1941, the Canadian Prime Minister, W. L. Mackenzie King, announced the decision to declare war on Japan. US President Ronald Reagan and CAN Prime Minister Brian Mulroney signed the USA to Canada Free Trade Agreement on 2 January 1988. The agreement went into effect on 1 January 1989 after implementing legislation was passed in each country. The FTA was an attempt to expand the markets of each country by reducing the barriers to trade in goods, services, and investment. The main goal of the agreement was to eliminate all tariffs on trade between the United States and Canada by January 1998. -

in 1988 the Winter Olympics officially the XV Olympic Winter Games known as Calgary 1988 were an international winter multi sport event held between February 13 & 28, 1988 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Games were opened as per tradition by Governor General Jeanne Sauvé. About 57 nations competed in 46 events.
