On November 19, 1975, Congress enacted Public Law 94-142 in 1975, also known as The Education for All Handicapped Children Act of 1975. Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004
On December 3, 2004, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act was amended. The reauthorized statute is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004).
