  • First personal computer modem connected

    The Hayes 80-130A, was designed by Dennis Hayes and Dale Heatherington. The device allowed computer users to connect directly to their phone lines to create a personal network, something never experienced before.
  • The Morris worm attack

    First major computer worm attack was the first to gain significant mainstream media attention. It resulted in the first felony conviction in the US under the 1986 Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
  • World Wide Web went public

    The first ever public web page,Berners-Lee published this. Fittingly, the site was about the World Wide Web project, describing the Web and how to use it.
