Emporer Constantine Foumded Byzantine Capital
In 330 AD, emporer Constantine moved the capital of the Roman empire to Byzantium. Then renamed the city Constantinople. Their were advantages to having the city here such as being closer to the center of the empire. -

Justinian Became Emporer of Byzantines
Justinian became emporer and wanted the empire to grow and become stronger.Justinian was 45 years old when he became emporer and ruled for 38 years until the year 565. -

Starting in 533, Belarius was sent with a small group of soilders to attack another group in North Africa. The group he defeated was the Vandal kingdom. In 535 he started a campaign northward defeating Naples and then he was offered to be an emporer for the Goths in 540 and took the offer. He eventually lost power in 544. -

In 537 after the cities riots and problems throughout the city were over, Justinian order tro rebuild the church. The interior waas redone with expensive colored marble walling. Also marble collums were built inside. -

Between 976 and 1025 Basil II expanded his rule over Bulgaria, Mesoptomia, Georgia, and Armenia. During his time he showed strength in some parts and weakness in other. He was a good ruler and was strong when it came to military conquests. -
