Brown vs. Board of Education
Prior to Brown vs. Board of Education, all students did not have the same access to the educational system. Students were sent to different schools based on race. Due to court cases, such as Brown vs. Board of Education, the school system was forced to begin to take a closer look at all student populations including students with disabilities.
