  • Ruby Bridges

    Ruby Bridges
First grader Ruby Bridges is the first African American to attend William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans.
Ruby had mentioned in here video that “she knew nothing about racism” this was coming from the perspective of a 6-year-old child. By encouraging the non-bias thoughts that children have, I think that the classroom can be used to mitigate these races thoughts and actions. This act has contributed to the overall outcome of integration in our current society.
  • Civil Rights Act

    Civil Rights Act
With the passing of the Civil Rights act segregation was now outlawed in public places. This law would now support the constitution by “All men are created equal” and open new opportunities for citizens of the United States. This would be a milestone in US history and even though this bill was passed over a half century ago the toleration of racism and segregation is still prevalent, and we still need to combat any type of discrimination.

  • Columbine High School students go on a killing spree

Columbine High School students go on a killing spree
A very heartbreaking and malaise attack on defenseless children, that has become and unacceptable and common occurrence across the globe. The killing of 15 people by seniors of the school, that should have been mentors to younger kids took out the hidden rage of the school. This has helped pass stricter automatic gun laws, but this is a very dark day in American history.
  • World Trade Center

     World Trade Center
Al-Qaida was the mastermind on the attacks on September 11th 2001 that left most of the word stunted and in grief. This immediately propelled the United States and the rest of the world into the longest war in American History. The world is still fighting Al-Qaida and the Hezbollah terrorist organizations and will continue to do so until these organizations are defeated.
  • Sandy Hook Elementary School

    Sandy Hook Elementary School
Once again, a pattern continues to harm 6 and 7-year-old defenses children. Adam armed with three hand guns took it upon himself to destroy 20 kids and 6 adults’ lives on this tragic day. Even though his mother and Adam were killed this day I personally think that parental adults should held accountable for the actions of their child.
  • Transgender Bathroom Directive

    Transgender Bathroom Directive
This still remains a very controversial issue and with all parties involved and providing valid arguments. With one side saying that you have now given permission for child predators to enter these areas. You should have to use the biological gender restroom you were born with. And the other side saying that the LGBTQ people have rights and should be aloud to use the bathroom they identify with. No matter what side you take with this issue all US citizens needs to have their rights protected.
