  • First telephone

    Alexander Graham Bell invented the first working telephone.
  • Computers evolved

    After the first computer was made, later on in the 1950s four more generations of computers were created. The first one using vacuum tubes. The second using the second used transistors, the third used integrated circuits, and the fourth used integrated circuits on a single computer chip. Computers kept getting upgraded and got smaller and smaller to where we are now.
  • The first commercial computer was made

    The first computer was made by John Eckert and John M. It was called UNIVAC I and was used to find out the outcome of the 1952 presidential election.
  • The Internet

    The internet was invented by many researchers like J.C.R. Licklider of MIT.
  • Global Network of Computers

    J.C.R. Licklider of MIT. added on to his invention of the internet by making computers able to share information and research.
  • First handheld mobile phone

    The first cell phone came out in 1973. It was made by the phone company called Motorola.
  • Micrcomputers

    In 1975, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology made the first ever microcomputer which is a smaller computer designed for one person with a microprocessor in the middle.
  • Apple microcomputure

    Apple started selling their first personal/microcomputures.
  • IBM introduces the first personal computer

    The computer industry went nationwide when IBM, an American multinational technology company headquartered in over 170 countries when they introduced the first personal computure.
  • The Web

    Dr. Tim Berners-Lee invented the world wide web and he wrote the first web browser.
  • First smart phone

    The first ever smart phone was made by IBM in 1992. It was called the Simon Personal Communicator.
