    Hippocrates was a greek philosopher who developed the Hippocratic oath. The Hippocratic oath was an ethics code he had developed that made a physician swear to a code of ethics. This is code in variation is used across all medical fields even today.

    The Romans developed sanitization methods. With the creation of sewer systems and public bath filtering the chances of getting an airborne disease lessened. It also promoted health so people were much healthier because they didn't have to live in their waste.
