The Brown V. Board of Education case announced where blacks and whites were no longer to be segregated in public schools. This was now considered unhealthy for everyone and wasn't going to be accepted anymore. The Brown V. Board of Education made the atmosphere equal in schools.

Common Core Standards
The Common Core Standards wanted students to be ready for a college or university when they actually start to attend one. The Common Core Standards wants students to be fully ready and understand everything that needs to be understood before entering a two year or four year college.
