Around 1200 A.D. the diffrent tribes of Easter Island began their constuction of the symbolic statues. -

Around 1500 A.D. constuction of the Moai has to stop due to limited resouces and conflict between the tribes. -
Environmental Collapse
Before this date of 1700 A.D. all of the trees on Easter island were cut down by the Rapanui tribe. -

On this exact day a dutch explorer named Jacob Rogenveen found Easter Island and gave it its name. -

This started in 1774 and ended in 1838 and resulted in almost all of the Moai knocked over by rival clans. -

This is when the Europeans started capturing the Rapanui and using them for manual labor. This first started in 1805. -
