    The Bilingual Education Act becomes law, requiring schools to have a multilingual education program. This would allow for minorty students full use of school. All though this act was later repealed, it is important in that it allowed for student of different backgrounds to mix allowing for cultural exchanges to take place.

    Title IX prohibits discrimination based on sex in all aspects of education. This is important as it allows for everyone to get the same level of teaching, meaning that more people can be taught about other cultures.
  • The Apple II is introduced

    Apple continues to increase the popularity of the personal computer, it is quite popular with students in particular. This is important as this would serve as the impetus for the massive connectivity that we would see in later years. As connections with all sorts of people increase the more important something like multicultural education becomes.
  • Plyler v.s. Doe

    Plyler v.s. Doe
    A landmark case with the outcome that states that it is a violation of the 14th admendment to deny a child public school regardless of their immigration status. This case would allow more children from different backgrounds into school and creates the chance for students to interact with other cultures.
