    The Zip disk allowed 100MB to be stored on a cartridge that was about the size of a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk.

    The Digital Video Disk (DVD) allowed for better audio and video quality, interactivity, and improved lifespan. The DVD storage capacity was much bigger than the common compound disk(CD).
