  • 1000 BCE

    THE ABACUS

    This device was developed by the Egyptians in the 10th century B.C, but it’s final shape was given in the 12th century A.D. by the Chinese educationists.
  • NAPIER’S BONES

    Because of the demand for a better calculating device, Scotsman John Napier invented bone rods
  • PASCAL’S CALCULATOR

    In the year 1642, Blaise Pascal, a French scientist, invented an adding machine called Pascal’s calculator, which represents the position of digit with the help of gears in it.
  • LEIBNZ CALCULATOR

    In the year 1671, a German mathematics Gottfried Leibniz modified the Pascal calculator and he developed a machine which could perform various calculation based on multiplication and division as well.
  • ANALYTICAL ENGINE

    In the year 1833, a scientist form England Charles Babbage invented a machine which could keep the data safely. This device was called Analytical engine and it deemed the first mechanical computer. It included such feature which is used in today’s computer language. For this great invention of the computer, Sir Charles Babbage is also known as the father of the computer.
  • ENIAC

    ENIAC is the first successful electronic computer, which was developed by the two scientists named J. P. Eckert and J. W. Mauchy.
  • INTEGRATED CIRCUIT

    Integrated circuits was used as electronic component for computers. The development of IC gave birth to a new field of microelectronics. The main advantage of IC is not only it’s small size but also it’s superior performance and reliability It was first developed by T.S Kilby.
  • APPLE I

    Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak start Apple Computers and roll out the Apple 1, the first computer with a single-circuit board, according to Stanford University
  • APPLE II

    Jobs and Wozniak incorporate Apple and show the Apple 2.
  • ACORN

    The first IBM personal computer, code-named ACORN is introduced. It uses Microsoft’s MS-DOS operating system
  • WINDOWS

    Microsoft announces Windows.
  • PERSONAL COMPUTER

    Personal computers are intended to be operated directly by an end user, rather than by a computer expert or technician. ‘Micro processor’ is the main concept behind this generation of computer.

    The term Wi-Fi becomes a part of the computing language and users begin connecting to the Internet without wires.
