First electronic computer

The first electronic computer is created in Japan by Hideo Yamachito.
Important because it started electronics!

First Silicon chip

The first integrated circuit, or silicon chip, is produced by the US Jack Kilby & Robert Noyce.
Important because it allowed computers to proccess information in different ways.

Computer Mouse

Mar 15, 1961

Douglas Engelbart invents and patents the first computer mouse (nicknamed the mouse because the tail came out the end)
Important because it allowed people to click for commands instead of typing commands.

IBM - Word Processor

IBM introduces the first word processor
Important because it allowed poeple to type and create reports or diferent kinds of papers on their computer.

Intel - RAM

Intel introduces the world's first available dynamic RAM ( random-access memory) chip and the first microprocessor, the Intel 4004.
Important becasuse it changed how computers run and store information.

Apple Begins

Apple Computers was founded Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs.
Important because Apple would later on, change technology as we know it.

Windows

Mar 15, 1983

Microsoft Windows introduced eliminating the need for a user to have to type each command, like MS-DOS, by using a mouse to navigate through drop-down menus, tabs and icons.
Important because it changed operating systems for computers.

Apple Macintosh

Apple introduces the Macintosh with mouse and window interface.
Important because it changed how computers operate forever.

The Internet

Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau propose a 'hypertext' system starting the modern Internet.
Important because it allowed us to connect the owrld together.

iPhone
